This work was part of an industrial project conducted by Robur SpA to develop a 18 kW heating capacity residential gas absorption heat pump. The task was to model the absorption cycle to be able to deliver high efficiencies down to 30% partial load and to design the entire unit to fit within a set of spec for the residential market. The development, testing and fine tuning of two prototypes has been performed until full required specifications have been met. This development has been brought ahead in the heat4u European project .
